The preparation of wheat starch using a special process results in adhesive layers that are exceptionally free of tension. To achieve this, the powder is mixed with cold water and then cooked gently over an extended period. This process aims to partially break down the starch chains, which gives the glue its lack of tension. The resulting paste is then strained through a very fine sieve. The unique characteristic of this glue lies in its ability to be stored for a very long time

Preparation details

Mix the wheat starch powder with water in a ratio of 2.5 parts water to 1 part glue.
Heat over high heat, stirring rapidly for 10 to 15 minutes, making sure not to burn the glue.
Then reduce to low heat and let it cook for another 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Once ready, place the glue container in a bowl of cold water and let it cool.
Filter only the required amount and dilute it with water as needed. Pour the remaining water into an airtight container (such as a Tupperware) and store it in the refrigerator.
