The 100% lokta is a small shrub - Nepalese laurel.

Handmade papers from "mountains of eastern Nepal". they are made from the bark fiber of lokta, a plant that grows above 3000 meters in the Himalayan foothills. It is a renewable resource and fiber collection and papermaking create valuable jobs in mountainous regions. Dyeing is carried out in the Kathmandu valley.

These papers are not absorbent and can be used with pen and ink for calligraphy, collage or wrapping.

Bright colors, smooth burnished surface. Slight variations in color can be observed.
